No — and no exam-prep product is. LicenseReady is an independent study tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by the DBPR, the Construction Industry Licensing Board, or Professional Testing, Inc. It is also not a substitute for any state-required application, experience, or education requirements. Exam-structure information (question counts, time limits, passing scores) comes from public DBPR publications.
No. Every question is an original work written by LicenseReady to match the official exam blueprints — same domains, same weights, same style. Using real exam items would be a crime under Florida law, and any provider claiming to have them should worry you.
Florida CILB certification exams: General Contractor, Building Contractor, Residential Contractor, HVAC, Plumbing, Roofing, Pool contractor licenses, and the Business & Finance exam that every trade must pass. Each course follows the official DBPR content outline for its exams.
It's a blueprint-weighted estimate of how you'd score today: your per-domain mastery (accuracy, coverage, and freshness) weighted by each domain's share of the real exam, blended with your recent full-length simulation results. Until you've passed timed simulations, the score is capped — practice accuracy alone overpredicts exam performance.
A readiness score of 85 or higher including at least two passed full-length timed simulations. It's deliberately strict: at $215 per exam part per attempt, the most expensive mistake is sitting the exam before you're ready. Exam Ready status is also the gate for the Pass Guarantee.
No. Your progress is saved on your device automatically. Creating a free account (one click via an emailed sign-in link — no password) backs your progress up and syncs it across devices.
That's the spaced-repetition engine working. Facts return for review right before you'd forget them, and the interval grows each time you succeed. It feels repetitive precisely when it's doing the most good.
Yes. The Florida exams are open book, and only approved printed references — with permanent tabs and highlighting — are allowed into the testing room. LicenseReady trains you to know those books cold (every question links to where its answer lives, and we teach recommended tab sets), but you must bring your own printed copies on exam day. Our references section lists exactly which books each exam allows.
Each exam part costs $215 per attempt ($135 development/application plus $80 administration), including retakes. That's why our approach is blunt about readiness: one avoided retake pays for the course.
Exams are administered through Professional Testing, Inc. and Pearson VUE. You register and schedule through their systems — LicenseReady is study preparation only and can't register you. Always confirm current requirements with the DBPR.
There are no passwords. Enter your email in Settings and we send you a one-click sign-in link. If the link doesn't arrive, check spam and confirm the address is the one you used before.
Progress syncs through your account. Make sure both devices are signed in with the same email — signing in merges the device's local progress with your cloud copy, so nothing is lost.
Settings → delete account. This permanently removes your account, progress, and any uploaded score reports. Progress stored only on a device can be cleared from that device's settings.
No. Every purchase is one-time and includes 12 months of access — enough to study, sit the exam, and retake if needed. Nothing renews and there's nothing to cancel.
Full refund within 7 days of purchase if you've attempted fewer than 10% of the course's questions. Beyond that, the Pass Guarantee applies: reach Exam Ready status, sit the exam, and if you don't pass, we refund the course purchase in full.
Reach Exam Ready status in your course (readiness 85+, including at least two passed full-length timed simulations), sit the corresponding Florida exam, and if you don't pass, submit your official score report within 14 days of your exam date for a full refund of that course purchase. One claim per course purchase; the refund covers the LicenseReady purchase, not state exam fees.
First make sure you're signed in with the same email you used at checkout. Access is granted the moment payment settles, but a slow connection can delay it a minute. If it's still locked, contact support with your receipt — this is a fix-it-today priority for us.
No — purchases are personal licenses, and shared accounts also wreck the readiness score (it can't tell whose knowledge it's measuring). For teams or trade programs, contact us about multi-seat pricing.
